Lincoln “Andy” DeVaughn, age 78, of Flora, IL passed away at 8:20 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at his home in Flora.

He was born July 26, 1934 in Clanton, AL to Mitchell and Ethel (Dupree) DeVaughn. He married Ruth Oliver on December 24, 1977 in Chicago. Andy was a retired carpet installer.

He is survived by his wife: Ruth DeVaughn of Flora; 4 daughters: Debra (Richard) Reyes, Tina Castillo (Alan) Hill, Yvette Neri, Margaret (Todd) Garden; 10 grandchildren: Jason Neri, Aiden Neri, Andre Neri, Jasmine Lopez, Trey Lopez, Tyler Lopez, Ashley Fitzgerald, Richie Reyes, Brandon Reyes, Joey Reyes; 1 great-grandchild: Mia Dill; 1 sister: Betty Shefka; along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 son (Dale), and 1 sister (Maxine Gray).

A memorial service for Andy DeVaughn will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Oak Street Baptist Church in Flora. Claude Nattier will officiate. Visitation will be held from 1-2 PM on Saturday at the church. Memorial donations may be made to Oak Street Baptist Church. The Frank & Bright Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
