Linda S. Franklin, age 60, of Clay City, IL passed away at 8:20 p.m. on Monday, March 11, 2013 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN.
She was born on May 31, 1952 in Tennessee to Theo and Lila Mae (Musgrove) Patterson. Linda worked independently providing home health care and was a hard worker who was always doing for others. Her life was centered around her family. She enjoyed caring for her disabled daughter and her grandsons were the love of her life. Linda was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Flora.
She is survived by 2 daughters: Tonya Talbert of Clay City, Lisa (Mike) Wells of Clay City; 1 son: Rodney Franklin of Flora; 3 brothers: Doug Patterson of Texas, James Patterson of Tennessee, Milton Patterson of Tennessee; 2 sisters: Joanne Laws of Tennessee, Virginia Smith of Chicago; 2 grandsons: Brennen Wells and Tristan Wells; along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
The funeral service for Linda Franklin will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 16, 2013 at the Frank & Bright Funeral Home with Pastor Lee Woods officiating. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. The family has asked that memorial donations be made to the family to assist with expenses.
