Those attending the graveside ceremony are asked to arrive directly at the cemetery. A private family funeral ceremony will be held at First Southern Baptist Church in Flora.
Lois L. (Payne) Eastin, age 89, of Flora, Illinois, passed away Sunday afternoon, February 28, 2021, at her home.
She was born December 9, 1931, in Sailor Springs, Illinois, the daughter of Pearl and Florence (Anderson) Payne. She was united in marriage to Kenneth W. Eastin Sr. on December 9, 1951, in Clay City, Illinois, and together they shared 57 wedding anniversaries until his death March 7, 2009.
Lois was a charter member of First Southern Baptist Church in Flora. In the past she had worked at the garment factory, shoe factory, and Sparton Manufacturing. She had babysat for more than 50 years and held a special place in her heart for the many children she had cared for over the years. Lois will be remembered as a wonderful example of a loving mother and wife.
She is survived by 3 sons: Kenneth Wayne Eastin Jr. (Diane Johnson) of Flora, Casey (Deb) Eastin of Flora, and David (Merlene) Eastin of Bethel, Alaska; son-in-law: Gary Martin of Flora; 10 grandchildren: Stephen (Stacie) Eastin, Scott Sullens, Lora (Joe) Dean, Aaron (Kindal) Eastin, Travis (Jennifer) Eastin, Dallas (Brittany) Eastin, Jarvis (Shelby) Eastin, Kiara Eastin, Matthew (Jaime) Martin, and Adrienne Martin; 13 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; siblings: Delbert (Norma) Payne, of Sailor Springs, James Payne of California, and Elaine Anderson of Marseilles; a sister-in-law: Anneida Eastin of Olney; and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Kenneth W. Eastin Sr.; infant son: Leroy Eastin; a daughter: Rebecca “Becky” Ann Martin; daughter-in-law: Cheryl Eastin; siblings: Henry Payne, Geneva (Vernon) Frank, Ethel (Everett) Jennings, and Matilda Ann “Toots” Payne; and brothers-and-sisters-in-law: Leon (Dorothy) Eastin, Beulah (Quentin) Keck, Belva Lee (Bob) Smith, and Franklin Eastin.

Lois was a pillar in our community for years... known that she babysat so so many children. She was a good person and many of her children she babysat for will have fond memories of her. R.I P. Lois.

Dear David, So sad to learn of Lois's passing but knew that she had been getting weaker in the last few months. Lois had taken care of our daughter after school. Lisa loved Lois and Kenny and especially the babies in her care when their mothers were at work.
We are so sorry to learn of the passing of Lois, a sweet lady, who had an impact on many young and young alike individuals. We are sorry for your loss.

To the family of Lous: I remember how my little brother Tony enjoyed his days with Lois as my our mother went to work. Tony was a handful of energy but somehow Lois faired well. I hope Lois' passing was not one of discomfort as she was a great lady! God's blessings to you all!

My family loved Lois! She babysat for my kids Rory O'Dell and Mina Wood. If it hadn't been for Lois, they still wouldn't be potty trained or know how to blow their noses! They learned so many more good lessons from her and Kenny too. We have wonderful memories of them that we will always cherish.
Grandma was the best person I new.When i found out she has passed my heart chaddered. sending great love and paryers to the family
