A private family gathering will be held.
Nina Dorene Denning, age 93, of Flora, Illinois, passed away early Wednesday morning, January 5, 2022, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, Indiana.
She was born August 30, 1928, in Polley, Wisconsin, the daughter of Henry Roy and Jennie Mae (Christianson) Smith.
Nina was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Flora, and later attended First Southern Baptist Church. She was a fantastic cook, and especially enjoyed making chicken and noodles, cookies, and holiday meals for her family. She enjoyed playing games and cards, and especially liked Yahtzee and Pinochle. Nina loved visiting her grandkids and cherished time spent with her family.
She is survived by her children: David Earl Denning (Nicole Ingram) of Flora, and Kathy Brooks of Ingraham; 4 grandchildren: Elizabeth (Mike) Pruitt of Xenia, Emily Denning of Flora, Jesse (Hollie) Brooks of Flora, Christopher Brooks (Tiffany) of Noble; 13 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law: Ray Brooks; and siblings: Clyde William, Cletus Ivan, Arthur Romaine, Earl Lester, Lawrence Henry, Gordon Henry, Henry Roy, Irlene Agnes, Mayme Elizabeth, Florence Larraine, Leona Ida, and Leola Iona.

So sorry for your all's loss . May God wrap his arms around you all. Ben a lot of years since I saw her. But she always had a smile. God has another angel . She will be missed.

I delivered the Flora paper to Nina in the late sixties- early seventies. David and I were classmates. Your mother was such a nice person. I haven't seen her in years, but when I drive by her home place in Flora, I often think of her. Sorry for your loss.
