Glenda Sue Lauderback, age 63, of Olney, Illinois, and formerly of Flora, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.
She was born March 1, 1959, in Flora, the daughter of John and Sarah Margaret (Wagley) Lauderback Jr.
Glenda had a love for people, and she had a knack for remembering names and birthdays. She enjoyed the activities, especially Bingo at Helia Healthcare where the staff and residents had become like family to her. She loved the opportunity to take long drives with her family and friends.
She is survived by a brother: Carl Lauderback of Xenia; a sister: Debby (Clint) Kimel of Anderson, South Carolina; nephew: Jason (Jaclyn) Lauderback of Naperville; a great-niece and great-nephew: Chloe Ann and Parker Jonathon Lauderback of Naperville; and 3 aunts: Lois Kleinmeyer of Arcola, Doris Guinn of Griffith, Indiana, and Beverly (Gene) Daughenbaugh of Georgetown.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A funeral ceremony will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 20, 2022, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora with Pastor Richard Artis officiating. Interment will follow in Floral Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. on Saturday evening at the funeral home. Dear Debby and Carl, I was sorry to hear of Glenda's passing. From the time I first met her when Debby and I were in Jr. High, right up until the last time I saw her, she was always smiling and happy. I enjoyed talking with her because she was so friendly and bubbly. My condolences to you at her passing. Soar with the angels sweet girl!
