Celebration of Life Gathering: 4-6 p.m. on Thursday, April 21, 2022, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora
Kevin Dean Pride, age 62, of Flora, Illinois, passed away early Sunday morning, April 10, 2022, at his home.
He was born October 27, 1959, in Flora, the son of Bruce and Lela Mae (McCrary) Pride. He was united in marriage to Julie Brown on March 26, 1985, in Hobart, Oklahoma, and together they have shared 37 wedding anniversaries.
Kevin had worked for Advanced Tank in Colorado and worked on natural gas and oil drilling rigs in Oklahoma and Illinois over the years. He enjoyed construction and building and took pride in his part of building the Clinton Power Plant. He was a gifted artist and enjoyed watching movies. Kevin was a family man and a proud father, enjoying every moment spent with those he loved.
He is survived by his wife: Julie Pride of Flora; a daughter: Autumn Pride of Flora; a son: Christopher (Joni) Brown Pride of Xenia; 2 grandchildren: Addyson & Treydon Brown of Xenia; mother: Lela Mae Pride of Flora; siblings: Cheryl Pride of Xenia, Kenny (Linda) Pride of Leroy, Jerome Pride of Flora, Charlotte Pride of Mississippi, Glen (Glenda) Pride of Fairbury, Arthur Pride of Clinton, Brian (Jodi) Pride of Flora, and Bradley (Sue) Stanley of Oregon; his chihuahua, Caesar; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father; 3 brothers: Michael, Mark, and Dennis Pride; and a sister: Regina Whitmer.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be held from 4-6 p.m. on Thursday, April 21, 2022, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora. Kevin help and did a quite a bit of work for us sorry for the lose he was a great person he really tried his best at all he did helping out with what ever was needed Shared and listened to lot a stories together He will be missed
