Nancy L. (Martin) Lagle, age 70, of Flora, IL died at 11:26 p.m. on Thursday, January 24, 2013, at her home in Flora.

Nancy was born on September 8, 1942 in Clay County, IL to John M. and Carolyn (Mayo) Martin. She married Carol Dean Lagle on August 22, 1959 in Flora. She worked at Bel-Tronics for 13 years and later at Q-Circuits and had been a member of First Church of God in Flora. Nancy loved embroidery, crafts, and reading, and thoroughly enjoyed being Grandma, also known as “Nanner”.

She is survived by her husband: Carol Lagle of Flora; mother: Carolyn Martin of Flora; children: Kim Pennington (husband Gary) of Flora, Mark Lagle of Flora, Chris Lagle (wife Amanda) of Flora; Eric Lagle of Bridgeport, Kelly Lagle of St. Louis, MO; 7 grandchildren: Brian Pennington (wife Susan) of Flora, Tiffany Castleberry (husband Ben) of Flora, Jessica Simpson (husband Nick) of Evansville, IN, Elizabeth Lagle of Flora, James Sorenson of Flora, Kale Lagle of Flora, Ashley Landreth (husband Justin) of Flora; 7 great-grandchildren: Paige, Carter, Lexi, Laila, Faith, Caden, Allison; siblings: Gary Martin of Flora, Larry Martin (wife Angela) of Flora, Suzanne Acree of Flora, Teresa Martin of Flora; niece: Candy Williams; nephew: John Burkett; and other great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father (John Martin) and a sister (Vicki Burkett).

The funeral service for Nancy Lagle will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at the Frank & Bright Funeral Home, Flora, with Pastor Richard Artis officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Flora. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, January 28, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home. The family has requested that memorial donations be made to Clay County Cancer Crusaders or Clay County Hospice.
