Martha Ellen Moyer, age 83, of Flora, Illinois, passed away Wednesday morning, October 12, 2022, at Flora Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

     She was born August 21, 1939, in Mt. Erie, the daughter of Dewey and Alene (Riggs) Thomas.  She was united in marriage to Bobby “Bob” Moyer on May 16, 1964, and they shared 22 years of marriage until his death in 1986.

     Martha was a homemaker and loving wife, mom, and grandma.  She enjoyed crocheting throughout her life and was an avid bingo player.

     She is survived by her children: Audrey (Lee) White of Herington, Kansas, Neva Maxham (Kenneth Barbee) of Fairfield, and Bobby Moyer of Flora; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brother: Charles Thomas of Effingham; as well as several nieces and nephews.

     She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter: Barbara (Moyer) Wrentmore; and siblings: William, Norma, and Dorothy.

     A ceremony celebrating Martha’s life will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 16, 2022, at Frank and Bright Funeral Home in Flora.  Visitation will be held from 1 until 2 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.  Memorial donations are suggested to assist with expenses and will be accepted through the funeral home.  To share a condolence or memory, visit: www.frankandbright.com
