Sep 19th, 1947 - Mar 30th, 2023

Funeral:  11 a.m. Friday, April 7, 2023, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home

Visitation:  5 until 7 p.m. Thursday, April 6, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home.

Interment:  Powers Cemetery, Xenia

Charleen M. Osterholtz, age 75, of Flora, Illinois, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2023, at her home.

She was born September 19, 1947, in Xenia, Illinois.  She married Lee Roy “Butch” Osterholtz on January 13, 1967, in Joliet, Illinois.  Butch passed away July 8, 2010.

Charleen was a dedicated employee of Hella in Flora for 23 years.  She is remembered for her enthusiastic love of Elvis Presley and his music, and her enjoyment of bowling, attending concerts, caring for animals, working outside in her yard, and traveling—especially to visit with some of her best friends in Chicago.  Charleen cherished all of her family, and this naturally included the Goldendoodles, Elvis and Sam, who shared her home.

She is survived by her daughter: Kristina (John) Zimmerman of Clay City, Illinois; 2 granddaughters: Kennedy and Khloe Zimmerman; 3 sisters: Rosalie (Mike) Slater, Ruby Weller, and Rhonda (Jim) Evans; 5 brothers: Roland (Ruth) Green, Randy Green (Timothy Winters), Rick (Mindy) Green, Roger “Sam” Green, and Robert (Freda) Green Jr.; a brother-in-law: Brad Eastin; a niece: Cathrine “Cat” Osterholtz; as well as a number of dear nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends.

She was preceded in passing by her parents: Robert William Green Sr. and Modena B. (Gaines) Green; husband: Butch Osterholtz; 2 brothers: Ronald Green and Ronnie Green; a sister: Rowena Green; a brother-in-law: Ron Weller; and a sister-in-law: Cheryl Green.

A funeral ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. Friday, April 7, 2023, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora.  Burial will follow at Powers Cemetery, Xenia.  A visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Thursday evening, April 6, at the funeral home.  Memorial donations are suggested to Fur a Good Paws and will be accepted through the funeral home.  To share a condolence or memory, visit: www.frankandbright.com
