Carrie Pauline Rodgers, age 85, of Flora, IL passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at her home in Flora.

 

Pauline was born September 14, 1927 in Zenith, IL to Herbert and Vina (Brown) Jones.  She married Stanley D. Rodgers on March 25, 1951 in Flora.  He preceded her in death on January 4, 2009.  She was a homemaker and a member of the Flora Church of the Nazarene.  Pauline took care of babysitting many children along with her grandbabies over the years.  She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

 

She is survived by her children: Linda Cammon (husband Ray) of El Paso, TX, Karen Cartnal (husband Joe) of Flora, Mary Lou Rodgers of Flora, Stanley D. “Bud” Rodgers II of Xenia, and Robert Alan Rodgers of Flora; a brother: Bernard Talbert of Johnsonville; along with 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 4 brothers (Frank Jones, Howard Jones, Charles Jones, Fermin Bennett), and 1 sister (Nadine Dagg).

 

The funeral service for Pauline Rodgers will be held 2 p.m. Friday, August 30, 2013 at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora.  Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Xenia.  Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.  The family has requested that memorials may be made to the chILD Foundation (Children’s Interstitial Lung Disease).
