Celebration of Life: 2-5 p.m. on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at the Xenia Community Center
Kenneth William Hawks, age 57, of Louisville, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Thursday afternoon, June 15, 2023.
Kenny was born March 15, 1966, in Terre Haute, Indiana.
He first began working for Kenny Fisher, whom he considered a mentor, at Fisher’s Backhoe Service in Xenia. He eventually had an opportunity to begin working through the Carpenters Local 634 in Salem, and later enrolled in courses at Lincoln Trail College in Telecommunications to further his knowledge and working experience. Through his hard work and talent, he became a skilled woodworking craftsman. When not working, Kenny immersed himself in working in his yard, following Chicago Bears Football, and the simple gems of life like listening to good music, camping, and nights around the firepit with his favorite people. He was a tremendously proud dad and grandpa, and friend to many.
He is survived by his children: Joshua T. Hawks (Jennifer), K.B. Hawks II (Elizabeth), Kyle J. Hawks (Jenny), Kyle J. Broz, Tristan C. Hawks (Emily), and Gemma Jean Pamela Hawks; grandchildren: Baylee, Ryker, Wylder, Paxton, Wyatt, Charlotte, Rosalie, Jude, Aiden, Violet, Veronica, Willow, as well as another grandchild on the way; his former spouses: Shelley and Johlene; and his much-loved dog: Daisy.
He was preceded in death by his mother: Carol Jean (Wood) Hawks; a daughter: Kasara; a granddaughter: Serenity; and an uncle: Tom Wood.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 2-5 p.m. on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at the Xenia Community Center, 601 Church Street, Xenia, IL 62899. Arrangements are by Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora.
