This young man always brightened my day/evening when I went into Dollar Tree. There was this one time that he finished checking me out, no one was in the store and we were just talking about life, his work and school schedule. I encouraged him to keep doing what he was doing, and that you do not find many young teens that have that drive to work anymore. He was proud of the car that they had just finished detailing and was sharing pictures. They done a great job. I was looking forward to taking my vehicle to them and letting him do his magic work on my vehicle. When I walked out of the store, my heart was so full of joy from just talking to him. I believe we both were encouraging each other. I did not know him, other then through the store. Parents, I cannot imagine what you are going through. Be be proud of yourselves for the raising that you instilled into this young man. He was truly a blessing. Prayers for all of you. May you find strength in Jesus to get you through your days.
Praying for you all during this difficult time and days ahead.
There is no greater heartache. May God bring you strength and courage to endure the coming days. Our thoughts and prayers are with you for peace and comfort.

To Robert’s family and close friends, I am so very sorry for the heartache and grief that you are feeling over the sudden and tragic loss of Robert. I had the pleasure of being Robert’s math teacher last year during his junior year at Flora High School. He very quickly earned a special place in my heart as the sweet, sassy, and spunky kid that could always put a smile on my face. He would often remind me that he did not like math, but he always tried his best for me. Even though I was not his teacher this year, he would always smile a huge smile and wave at me any time that he would see me. I am heartbroken for all of you. If any of you ever need anything please reach out. Sincerely, Ms. Webb - Robert’s math teacher
I’ll never forget Robert’s beautiful smile and amazing personality. Its not going to be the same in my 3rd hour art class. Robert always loved to say to me with his sweet smile, “Mrs. Sloan, why do we have to does this? You know that I can’t do that!” He always made me laugh! My heart aches for you and your family. If this finds you any comfort, I want you to know how much Robert was loved by his friends and FHS faculty. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

My heart breaks for all of you. I have read about him in the newspaper and now see the official obit. When young and bright people die like this, we are left here on earth try to make sense of it. Its by Gods grace alone that we can. May you all seek and find the peace that awaits, as you endure these difficult times with memories and sadness. Trust our Lord Jesus that he is in a better place now, where we all strive to be one day.
