Larry Andrew Cain, age 76, of Flora, Illinois, passed away Thursday night, November 30, 2023, at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon.

     He was born April 26, 1947, in Mattoon, the son of Robert L. and Eleanor M. (Honn) Cain. 

     Larry was a farmer and diesel mechanic.  He enjoyed following Nascar races, visiting with friends, collecting, and playing solitaire.  In the past he enjoyed spending time restoring antique tractors and visiting tractor shows.

     He is survived by his daughter: Jennifer (Darren) Gates  of Flora; 3 grandchildren: Bryce (Courtney) Kapper of Clarksville, Tennessee, Myles (Makenzie) Kapper of Flora, and Rylee Uebinger of Flora; a great-granddaughter: Graesyn Kapper; a sister: Lynn Cain (Kathy Mitchell) of Mattoon; and a niece: Ashley Cain.

     He was preceded in death by his parents; a son: Jason Andrew Cain; and a brother: Robert D. Cain.
