Glenda Elaine Cooper, age 59, of Flora, Illinois, passed away early Saturday morning, December 23, 2023, at Helia Healthcare of Olney.
She was born September 20, 1964, in Flora, the daughter of Glen Edward and Ruth Ann (McAllister) Cooper.
Glenda helped her mom operate the Hi-Way restaurant in Louisville and worked in several endeavors over the years.
She is survived by her aunts: Mary Shaffer, Mable (Gary) Bullard, Pat Ritter, and Donna McAllister; several cousins; friend: Donnie Lewis; and special dog: Isabella.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and aunts and uncles: Harold Leon Cooper, Ruby and Steve Turner, Bud and Marge McAllister, James McAllister, and Danny McAllister.
A committal ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Kneff Cemetery. Those attending should arrive directly at the cemetery. Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora assisted the family. Memorial donations are suggested to help assist with final expenses, and these will be accepted through the funeral home. I have so many wonderful memories of Glenda from the Hi-Way cafe to her working at Walmart. Rest in peace , you will be missed

Sitting around laughing and enjoying life with the Coopers was part of the joy of my early adulthood. My life is more full because of the time I spent with Glenda and I will never forget her kindness towards me and love of her family. Rest in peace, friend.
I sure have lots of memories of Glenda n RuthAnn at the Highway 45 I work with both of them. I will sure miss her until we meet again Fly High my friend.

We grew up together on Third Street had a lot of great times. Shared the same birthday. Glenda was definitely one of kind and a great person.

Many great childhood memories on 3rd Street playing with Glenda and the neighborhood kids. She is now reunited with Ruthie, where she longed to be. Another classmate gone from the Class of ‘82. She will be missed by all who knew her.
