Ricarda Pickens, age 61, of rural Louisville, Illinois, passed away Friday, June 7, 2024, at her home.
She was born in Rockford on September 26, 1962, daughter of the late Leon and Beverly Darlene (Colclasure) Pickens.
Ricarda found joy in spending time with her family, especially her daughters and grandchildren, and her devoted dog, “Ruff,” that accompanied her most everywhere. She had a deep love for nature and the outdoors, enjoyed crafting, and was an avid reader. Her kindness and warm spirit made her a cherished friend to several other special people during her life.
She is survived by her husband, Randy Tolliver of Louisville; her children, Amanda Connelly of Clinton, Indiana, Amy Tolliver of Louisville, Abby Tolliver of Flora, and also Donna Tolliver of Hord, and Chad Tolliver of Clay City; grandchildren, Kaylei Atteberry of Effingham, Zachry Cox of Clinton, Indiana, and Bentley Evans of Louisville, and also Jayda, Ellen, and Emma Tolliver, and Kristina Perkins, Gregory Evans, and Devin Hicks; several great-grandchildren; her mother-in-law, Esther Walker of Flora; brothers, Ronnie, Richard, and Ramsey Pickens; several nieces and nephews
She was preceded in passing by her parents and her fathers-in-law, Sonny Tolliver and Pete Walker.
In accordance with Ricarda’s wishes, no services will be held at this time. For those who wish to honor her memory, donations to assist the family with expenses are suggested and will be accepted through Frank & Bright Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Flora.
