Private family services will be held with interment in Clay City Cemetery.
Barbara Ann Fryburger, age 90, of Clay City, Illinois, passed away Thursday, August 1, 2024, at Flora Rehabilitation & Health Care Center.
She was born on December 26, 1933, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Burton and Ruth Pauline (Garnes) Taylor.
Barbara enjoyed tending to her rose bushes and watching the birds in her yard. She was a wonderful cook and baker and always looked forward to making Christmas cookies each year with her grandkids. She was a very nurturing mother and grandmother and over the years had taught all of her grandkids to swim. Barbara was a lifelong Presbyterian.
She is survived by her children: Richard (Darla) Fryburger of Clay City, David Fryburger of Nashville, Tennessee, and Ruth Ann (Randy) Enlow of Clay City; grandchildren: Jennifer Fryburger (Jim Brian), Melissa (Derrin) Worrell, Lacey (Ashley) Bunting, Nathan Fryburger, Nicole Cash, Alan Patridge, Jay (Teresa) Patridge, and Elisha (Colton) Simpson; 13 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; brother: Robert Taylor; sister-in-law Carol Taylor; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother: Charles Taylor; and her former husband of 45 years and father of her children: John Fryburger.
Private family services will be held with interment in Clay City Cemetery. Arrangements are by Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora. Memorial donations are suggested to UNICEF, and these will be accepted though the funeral home. To share a condolence or memory, visit: www.frankandbright.com
