Don “Red” Kittle, age 88, of Flora, Illinois, passed away Saturday evening, December 21, 2024, at his home.
He was born August 29, 1936, in Flora, the son of Lee and Pansy (Cooper) Kittle. He was united in marriage to Kathryn Henson on May 1, 1965, and together they have shared 59 years of marriage.
Don honorably served in the U.S. Army from 1959-1962 during the Vietnam Era. He had been employed by Trunkline Gas in Johnsonville, retiring after 25 years.
He is survived by his wife: Kathryn Kittle of Flora; 2 children: Teresa Kittle of Sheffield, Alabama, and Tony Kittle of Owensville, Indiana; 2 grandchildren; and a sister: Mary Ellen (Bill) Ikemire.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers: Lawrence Kittle and Everett Kittle; and a sister: Geneva Block.
There will be no services. Arrangements are by Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora. Memorial donations are suggested to Clay County Hospice, and these will be accepted through the funeral home. To share a condolence or memory, visit: www.frankandbright.com
We are so sad and sorry to lose our uncle, and your dad and husband. We sure loved him and always will. We are keeping all of you in our thoughts and prayers. May God wrap His arms around all of you and comfort you. We love you all. ❤️

Red and Katherine were neighbors to my parents. They were great neighbors and helped my parents in several ways.
