Dallin Lee Green, the beloved 2-month-old son of Devon and Jessica (Mefford) Green of Flora, Illinois, was welcomed into the arms of angels, Wednesday afternoon, February 12, 2025, at Clay County Hospital.

      He was born on November 25, 2024, in Mt. Vernon.

      Though his time on earth was brief, Dallin filled every moment with love and joy, and he will live forever in our hearts.  He was a bright-eyed, happy baby who adored his big sister, Ainsley.  He had just begun to find his voice and his sweet coos and precious smiles brought warmth to the hearts of all who met him.

      He is survived by his parents: Devon and Jessica Green of Flora; a sister: Ainsley Green of Flora; paternal grandparents: Daniel and April Green of Flora and Bonita Wuebbels (Chris Dashofy) of Camp Verde, Arizona; maternal grandparents: William “Bill” and Tammy Mefford of Rinard, Shirley Mefford of Fairfield, and Janice Schofield of Flora; paternal great-grandparents: Annie and Herbie Lewis of Salem, Rosemary Wuebbels of Long Point, and Debra and Luther Fender of Flora; maternal great-grandmother: Alice Bourne of Urbana and Jo Ann Nosek of Rinard; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

      He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandfather: Richard Edward “Ed” Mefford; paternal great-grandfather: Roland Green; step-great-grandfather: Mike Nosek; great-great-grandmother: Modena Green; and several other extended family members who all now cradle him in heaven.

      A funeral ceremony for Dallin Green will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora with Jake Phillips officiating.  Interment will follow in Powers Cemetery, Xenia.  A visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.  Memorial donations are suggested to the family for expenses, and these will be accepted through the funeral home.  To share a condolence or memory, visit: www.frankandbright.com
