Mary Beth Hagen, age 80, of Flora, Illinois, and formerly of Louisville, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Heritage Woods of Flora.
She was born July 15, 1944, in Flora, the daughter of Herschel S. and Blanche Ellen (Fry) Davis.

She was a devoted member of North Harter Christian Church. A gifted seamstress, Mary had won several first place and best of show awards over the years for her beautiful quilts. She shared her passion by teaching quilting classes at church and passing along sewing skills to many of the children she cared for. She also found joy in time spent crocheting and cooking.
She is survived by her children: George Spickard (Lorie Veale) of Savannah, Missouri, Kevin “Mike” (Tamara) Hagen of Crestview, Florida, Susan (Niles) Dufrenne of Olney, and Jane (Joe) Shober of Salem; a nephew whom she thought of as a son: Jason Hagen of Midland, Texas; a bonus son: Rusty Sharp of Effingham; 10 grandchildren: Cassie, Robert, Aaron, Josh, Drew, Alayna, Larissa, Mallory, Robby, and Liam; and 4 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings: Carolyn Gregory, Ed Davis, and Bob Davis.
A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora with Rocky Allen officiating. Dearest and kindest mate you’ll ever meet! Full of wisdom, jokes, and belief. She was the best teacher and mentor I’ll ever have! Rest well!
