Debra Sue Leak, age 71, of Flora, Illinois, passed away Monday, March 17, 2025, at Clay County Hospital.
She was born February 27, 1954, in Flora, the daughter of Charles Robert and Doris June (Holman) Leak.
Debbie had been the owner/operator of Andy’s Meat Market in Flora. She also worked as a Regional Office Manager for General Telephone & Electronics Company (G.T.E.) and later worked at Walmart. A devoted daughter, Debbie lovingly cared for her mother, Doris, before her passing. She enjoyed playing Solitaire on her computer and online shopping.
She is survived by 2 brothers: Ed (Linda) Leak of Flora and Tom (Pearl) Leak of Flora; a sister: Janice Schofield of Flora; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved dog, Blossom.
The family would like to send a special thank you to the nurses and staff at Axiom Healthcare and Clay County Hospital for their care and kindness.
Private interment will take place in Kneff Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are by Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora. Just heard about Debbie she was a neighbor and a friend we rode the same schoolbus,all us high school kids would sit in the back it was like a little club she will be missed!!

Deb was one of my dearest friends when we were kids. Even though life happened, and we drifted apart, I never forgot the fun we had, and the friendship we shared. I think of her often, and am sorry to hear of her passing.
