Nola Ruth Emmett, age 96, of Xenia, Illinois, passed away Saturday, March 22, 2025, at the Fairfield Memorial Hospital Skilled Care Unit.

      Ruth was born March 12, 1929, in Xenia, daughter of the late Hugh and Dicy (Cunningham) Cornwell. 

      She married Manuel H. Emmett.  He passed away in 1989.

      After spending many years living and working in Springfield, Ruth retired from a career with the State of Illinois.

      She is survived by her friends, Charolette Pride and Linda (husband Pat) Blanton, all of Xenia.
