Words cannot express our sorrow at hearing of Ray's passing. He will be missed so much by all he came in contact with. I have never met a person with so much joy of life. You are all in our prayers.
My friend from grade school, and ever since, always straightforward and friendly, he is missed. My Best Man when Judy and I married. He has been in my prayers daily along with family for several years, that he would find our Lord Jesus. I'm sorry for your loss, family of Ray.
According to my records, the B&O RR Veterans has lost another member. Ray served as a Yard Clerk for Frank "Meatball" Zimmerman. Ray's grandfather was my good friend "Sammy Reed" who worked on the Springfield branch as a brakeman on trains #40 & 41. I had the honor to serve as a pall bearer in Sammy's funeral. It is with sadness to see that Ray has left us, and closed another chapter of the historical book of Flora Depot related workers. Farewell my family friend. Rest well......God is nigh.
You will be greatly missed!!! Prayers to the family and friends.
Rest in Peace Little Brother; The days of suffering are over. See you on the other side.
