In memory of a dear, sweet, honorable lady. I will miss her more than you will ever know. Thinking of her as I say this prayer... ""Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to take, If I should die before I wake, I pray the Lord my soul to take! God Bless Grandma, Grandpa, mom, dad, brothers/sisters, aunts/uncles, friends and enemies!
With Love, from Toby, JeCoby, Nicholas, and Zachary Bates. Also from Myrtle Tatum, Bobby Joe Smotherman Jr, Jess Tatum (Neal, Hope, and Kenneth), Richie/September Helmuth, we love you grandma.
Dear Bates family: We are so very sorry to hear of Lois passing. Yet on the other hand, she has no more suffering, AND she is home with the Lord & reunited with Roscoe once again, hallelujah! We will forever & always remember Lois fondly. She was a great friend, a wonderful baby-sitter, & a very artsy-craftsy woman who we admired for all sorts of reasons, too numerous to mention here. Although we will be unable to attend the service, please know we're thinking of you & praying for comfort & peace. All our love, ~Shirley, Joe, Mary & family from Illinois~ & ~Celia & Mike in North Carolina~
We are so sorry for your lost. Our prayer go out the family. She was a nice lady
I first met Lois when we moved to Clay City & started attending the Baptist church. She was always a great witness of the love of Jesus Christ to her family, friends & neighbors. She will be missed here on earth but there is rejoicing in Heaven at her arrival. May your memories give you comfort.
That is such a good picture of Lois. It looks like she is just getting ready to say "Hi neighbor" to us like she did so many times. We will miss her.
Our sincere condolences to the Bates family for the loss of Lois. Our two families have shared many wonderful family occasions through the marriage of our children Donald and Rhonda. Unfortunately, due to a health issue, I am unable to be with all of you in person during this difficult time. Please know I am with you spirit and I am keeping your family in my thoughts and prayers. Edith Loge and the Loge family
Although we met Lois towards the end of her life, we feel like we knew her well by all the great things that Donald would tell us about his mother. She left some great legacies for her children & grandchildren. We are so sorry for your loss and pray that memories of her will warm your hearts for years to come. May God bless you all & provide His divine comfort during this difficult time.
So sorry for your family's loss.
