Vickie S. McCracken, age 53, of Clay City, Illinois, formerly of Flora, passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2014 at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney, Illinois.
Vickie was born October 26, 1960 in Olney to William Levern and Leona Marie (Hamilton) Pemberton. She married Edward L. McCracken on November 25, 1978 at the First Christian Church in Flora. Vickie worked various jobs including an aide at Flora Care Center, AMF in Olney, Burgin Manor in Olney, NAL, was store manager at Circus Video in Flora. She was a member of Antioch Christian Church, enjoyed fishing, and loved her pets.
She is survived by her husband: Ed McCracken of Clay City; son: Ed McCracken Jr. of Clay City; mother: Leona (husband James) Totten of Noble; brother: Tom (wife Maria “Button”) Pemberton of Flora; 3 grandchildren: Timothy Edward McCracken, Stephanie Gene McCracken, and Jenna Marie McCracken; along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and a sister (Janet England).
The funeral service for Vickie McCracken will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at Frank & Bright Funeral Home with visitation from 6-7 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the family to assist with expenses. An online guest book is available at www.frankandbright.com.
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I never really knew Vickie real well, but I do know Leona. My prayers are with the family during this trying time. I pray that God gives you the strength you need.

I will always love you. Uncle Ed I love you and sending love your way Little Eddie I love you to. I'm still in shock but I know she is in no more pain and would want us to live a wonderful life so we can be with her again.
Vic was more then just a friend, she was a sister in Christ. I will miss her and I talking in our office at Master's Hands, we laughed together, cried together and always ended our talks with a power hug. She was such an inspiration in my life and her love for Jesus shined as soon as she entered a room. Praying for Ed and all the family Vic s life will continue on in the hearts of all those she touched and came across. Love you Vic , love you Ed.

I AM SO SADDEN TO HEAR OF THE LOSS OF VICKIE. I REMEMBER GROWING UP WITH VICKIE IN OUR CHILDHOOD AND GOING TO THE FIRST CHRISTAIN CHURCH TOGETHER. VICKIE ALWAYS HAD A SMILE FOR EVERYONE AND AND A KIND WORD. JUST KNOW ED THAT I AM THINKING OF YOU AND YOUR FAMILY AT THIS TIME IN MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS. My dearest cousin and Pemberton family. Words can not express the pain that I am feeling for the loss of my dear cousin Vickie. Nothing can take away from my wonderful memories of her and all the Pemberton family. She was my dearest cousin and I have wonderful memories of our times together throughout the years. Yes, I know its late and all but I had just found out some exciting news thanks to this wonderful woman right here. Aunt Vickie you will be missed and loved dearly by a lot of us down here, I hit me and few others really hard.Jenna even talks about you you a lot and that is how i found out that me and her were related. All thanks to you. If it wasn't for you I would of never found such a loving and caring person. But I have to admit she takes after you a lot. Espeically with A big heart just like yours. R.I.P.
