Brian B. Ernest, age 54, of Flora, Illinois passed away on Monday, May 26, 2014 at his home in Flora.
Brian was born September 10, 1959 in Flora to William Dwight and Bonnie L. (Boyd) Ernest. He was a graduating member of FHS Class of 1977 and played football and other sports throughout high school. He also attended Triton College, worked at Minwax, and was a lifelong member of First Christian Church of Flora. Brian loved helping people, enjoyed music, fishing, and doing outdoor work, and had a very special relationship with his nieces and nephews.
He is survived by 2 brothers: Bill (Robin) Ernest of Shanghai, China and Bruce (Sheila) Ernest of Olney; nieces and nephews: Kelsey (Ridge) Flick of Seoul, South Korea, Kylee Ernest of Spokane, Washington, Tracey (Marc) Rodgers of Olney; and great-nephew and nieces: Ethan, Ava and Elle. He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew (Troy Ernest).
A memorial service for Brian Ernest will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 30, 2014 at Frank & Bright Funeral Home with visitation from 10 a.m. until time of service on Friday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be given to Fur A Good Paws and will be received at funeral home.
I will always remember Brian from our school days in Flora. May he rest in peace and the family have comfort during these days.

So many fun memories of Brian during Sunday School at First Christian Church. He made us all laugh every week. Prayers for the Ernest family.

Bill and Bruce and families, I'm so sorry to hear of Brian's death. I've never lost a sibling so I don't know what to say. I can tell you my sister is mentally ill and and I am slowly losing her, so I know it's coming. My heart and prayers are with you all.

Will miss talking to you when you go pass the house walking, and I will never for get the vacations that you went with us and lost your new pair of glasses in the lake, Ivan had you all diving down and finally one of you came up and hollered "Hey look what I just came up with and the glasses had been found in perfect condition. Brian, I will miss you and the stories that you shared with us.

Every time I think of Brian I smile. I had great times riding to the pee wee football games with him and his parents. I remember coming to his house in high school and learning how to play guitar. I even let him cut my hair the few times I got it cut in high school. Rest in peace my friend.
