Mary Ann (Eckelberry) Ford, age 71, of Hillsdale, Michigan passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at the Hillsdale County Medical Care Facility surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 10, 1942 in Belleville, Illinois to Eldoris and Mildred (Maibes) Eckelberry. She married Dean Ford on March 3, 1962 and he preceded her in death in 1996. Mary Ann later married Leon Gill in 2003 and he preceded in 2014.
Mary Ann graduated from Flora High School in Illinois and she retired from ACT in Hillsdale. She formerly attended the Hillsdale Calvary Temple. Mary Ann's passion in life was her faith and her family, who she dearly loved spending time with.
Survivors include three daughters, DeAnn Ford of Noblesville, Indiana, Donna (Bill) Briggs of Commerce Twp, MI and Tina (A.J.) Watkins of Litchfield, MI; son, Bryan (Lisa) Ford of Hillsdale; 8 grandchildren, Valerie Paletis, Erica Paletis, Canon Ford, Case Ford, Colton Ford, Western Watkins, Ben Briggs and Tim Briggs; 6 siblings, Norma Lee (Jerry) Kling and Darrell (Karen) Eckelberry both of Flora, Illinois, Dale (Margie) Eckelberry and Gary (Debbie) Eckelberry both of Xenia, Illinois, Dean (Eun) Eckelberry of Warrenton, Virginia and Jerry (Nancy) Eckelberry of Wixom, MI; and 3 sisters-in-law, Jonell (Bill) Harwood of Jonesville, Linda Wickham Hillsdale and Peggy (Bob) Passmore of Hillsdale.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husbands and her parents.
Funeral services for Mary Ann Ford will be Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 12 Noon at the VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home in Hillsdale with Pastor John Lillie officiating. Interment will follow at Bankers Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to the Hillsdale County Medical Care Facility.
