Services will be held in Ringling, Oklahoma
Gerald David “Bugsy” Hart, age 81, of Flora, Illinois formerly of Ringling, Oklahoma passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at his home in Flora.
Gerald was born August 5, 1933 in Evansville, Indiana to Thomas and Mary Lou (Swander) Hart. He married Helen Victoria Besherse on February 25, 1954 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on March 16, 2012. Gerald worked in sales at Wilson Motors in Flora for 15 years and later went on to carpentry work in Oklahoma. He served 4 years in the U.S. Air Force, was a past member of Flora Elks, and was of the Baptist faith. Gerald and Helen enjoyed traveling to quilt shows in different parts of the country.
Surviving is 4 children: Larry Dale (Janet) Hart of Oklahoma City, OK, Gerald Ray Hart of Ardmore, OK, Brenda (Bill) Lusk of Flora, and Sherry Lynn (George) Zimmerman of Eldorado, AR; along with 6 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 1 brother, and 1 sister.
Funeral services will be conducted in Ringling, Oklahoma with burial in the Ringling Cemetery. Local arrangements were handled by Frank & Bright Funeral Home. To share a condolence or memory with the family, visit www.frankandbright.com.
