Graveside Committal Service: 2 p.m. Friday, January 23, 2015, at Elmwood Cemetery in Flora
Gregory A. Colclasure, age 60, of Flora, Illinois passed away Monday, January 19, 2015, at home.
He was born October 13, 1954, in Flora, the son of Paul A. and Dorothy H. (Montoney) Colclasure. Greg worked for GSI, and will be remembered as a kind-hearted person who cared for animals, enjoyed going fishing, and was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals.
He is survived by his sister: Kathy (Phil) Sefton of Xenia; nieces and nephews: Jeremy Sefton of Xenia, Shelli (Chris) Slifer of Mode, Roger Montoney of Chesterfield, IN, Kayler (Jeff) Webb of Birmingham, AL, and Susan Tyree of Houston, TX; great-nieces and great-nephews; and special friend: Connie Bastian. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother: Bill Montoney; and infant sister: Janet Sue.
A graveside committal service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, January 23, 2015, at Elmwood Cemetery in Flora, where burial will follow. Memorial donations in Greg’s memory are suggested to Fur A Good Paws, and will be accepted through the funeral home. My condolences to Greg's family. I fondly remember Paul, Dorothy (who was a close friend of my mother), and Kathy. We spent a lot of time growing up in the First Baptist Church.

We enjoyed getting to know Greg and visiting with him as his neighbor. He sure did enjoy his dogs and goat. The animals were always so excited to hear him pull in the driveway. Rest in peace Greg. Kathy, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

So sorry for your loss...Words can't begin to describe what you must be feeling. We always liked talking to Greg when he was mowing his mom's yard and I really had the great privilege of working with him in Olney at Beckenbach....I used to go out on the line and talk to him while he was working and could get him to laugh a bit...And I know how much his animals meant to him....It was an honor to know him....Praying for you and your family....
