"So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?" - 1Cor. 15:54,55

We were so saddened by the news of the passing of Johanna. While our hearts are heavy down here, we sorrow not as those who have no hope. Thank God for the hope we have in the resurrection, for if in this life only we have hope, we are certainly most miserable. But thanks be to the Lord for the promise of eternal life. Our prayer is that the God of all comfort give this precious family grace and comfort in this hour of grief.
Jeff and Nakoma , So sorry to hear about JoAnna . She was such a sweet girl . You are in our thoughts and prayers .
My heart goes out to Jeff, Nakoma, Aaron, Stephen, Vonnie, Gracie, and Lydia. Johanna was a very special girl and earned a big spot in my heart. I loved talking to her. She mentioned to me once that she wanted to start an orphanage because she loved children so much. She also said she wanted to someday marry someone just like her Daddy. When she called to invite Uncle Sonny and me to your 4th of July celebration, she sounded so strong. We did so want to come but Uncle Sonny's health was not good at the time. Johanna would be happy to know that Uncle Sonny is doing much better now. I know personally how hard it is to lose a loved one, having lost 1 son and 3 brothers. Peace be with you Love, Aunt Marian

Sis. Johanna has reached the goal that we all long for. 2 Cor. 5:8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. That blessed reunion will be sooner than later. Will never forget the blessing that we and many others recieved by her ministry here in Honduras. We love all the Houghs and our prayers have been and continue to be with you all.

Dear Hough Family, My heart broke when I learned of Johanna's passing. I was not acquainted with her but knew Vonnie and Grace as well as Rev. Hough. Your family lived your religion and was a testimony to anyone who met you. My sincerest condolences to all for your great loss but with Heaven's great gain.
We love you all and wish so much to be there together with you during this time. Oh how much we will miss our sweet cousin Hannah. How thankful we are to know that her suffering has finally ended and that she is safe in the arms of our Father. Heaven is sweeter and our longing to be there just grows with passing day. She beat us home! I'm certain that she and Pa Gaines are finding Sis.Martin, Bro.Norris, Brother Marty Don and many others to share welcome home hugs.
