Betty Lou Powless, age 84, of Olney, formerly of Flora, Illinois passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at Helia Healthcare in Olney.

   Betty was born December 25, 1930 in Flora to Rufus B. and Eva Mae (Tolliver) Powless.  She was a good dancer, enjoyed music and crocheting, and was a member of Flora Assembly of God.  Betty loved her family, made friends easily, and never had a bad day.

    She is survived by one brother: Ivan E. Hickey Jr. (Lela Hickey) of Fairfield; nieces and nephews including Kim (Ron) Monroe, Ivan (Callie) Hickey III, and Jerry Powless; several great-nieces and great-nephews including Zane and Adi; along with several cousins.  She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 siblings: Bobby and Leroy Powless.

   A graveside service for Betty Powless will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 17, 2015, at Orchard Hill Cemetery, Louisville.  There is no visitation.  Those who wish to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery.  Arrangements are in the care of Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora.  Memorial donations may be given towards the purchase of a monument for Betty and will be accepted at the funeral home.  Share online condolences and memories with the family at www.frankandbright.com.
