Erma Jean Holman, age 77, of Xenia, Illinois, passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2015, at Good Samaritan Regional Health Center in Mt. Vernon.
Jean was born April 8, 1938 in Milwaukie, OR to Floyd and Juanita Hoggard. She married David A. Holman in 1956 in Bloomington, CA. Jean was of the Protestant faith and had a quaker parrot named Topper who was her “best buddy”. She liked to fish and garden, enjoyed spending time with friends, doing crafts, and playing Bunco with the Xenia Club.
Jean is survived by her husband: David Holman of Xenia; children: Mark (Debbie) Holman of Campbellsville, KY, Dale Lee Holman (Patricia Voyles) of Carterville, Becky (Phil) Tanzer, and Steve Holman of Xenia; 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother: Leroy Hoggard.
A graveside service for Jean Holman will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 25, 2015, at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Xenia. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, November 24, 2015, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora. Share online condolences and memories with the family at www.frankandbright.com.

Just found out today about Jean, Nov. 27th, and was saddened to hear of her passing. I have fond memories of her and know she will be missed greatly. I send my prayers out to the family in this sad time and hope the memories will soften your grief. I'll never forget the wonderful enchilada's she made, I ate so many I got sick! She was a good wife and mother, friend and neighbor and I know she is a angel now watching over the rest of us.
Jean , you were part of our family! We will remember you always, and miss you forever.
