Kenneth C. Glaspy, age 81, of Flora, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2015, at Flora Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Flora.
Kenneth was born February 1, 1934 in Clay County to Cecil and Clarice (Eskew) Glaspy. He worked as a truck driver and in his younger years enjoyed horseback riding, weight lifting, and pool playing. Kenneth was a longtime resident of the Flora Gardens Care Center.
He is survived by a brother-in-law: Robert Shehorn (the late Bernice) of Flora; a sister-in-law: Yvonne Glaspy (the late Bernard) of Tampa, FL; nephew: Robert Kent Shehorn of Mattoon; niece: Joy (Robert) Coble of Flora; along with several other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother: Bernard Glaspy, and one sister: Bernice Shehorn.
A graveside service for Kenneth Glaspy was held Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at Elmwood Cemetery in Flora. Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora assisted the family with arrangements. Memorial donations may be given to Flora Gardens Activity Fund and will be accepted at the funeral home.

Kenny was one of the kindest souls I ever met....RIP my friend.

To my sweet uncle, what joy there must be in heaven today. My heart is full knowing you, Dad, Aunt Bunny, Grandma and Grandpa and so many others will be together to celebrate the birth of our lord and savior Jesus Christ.
Sorry to hear of Kenny's passing. My Mother worked at the West Y for years with Kenny's Mom, and I always enjoyed see him. Rest in peace.
Uncle Kenny was an outstanding soul with a gentle heart. He loved his family and friends. He taught me many lessons when I was a boy and young man I carry to this day. He never ask for anything in return. I am sure he will be welcomed into heaven with open arms by our Lord Christ Jesus.
Go rest in Heaven Uncle Kenny. We will see you one day soon.
