Graveside Service: 3 p.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2015, at Kneff Cemetery
Judy (Hough) Farmer, age 64, of Flora, Illinois, passed away Monday, December 28, 2015, at her home in Flora.
Judy was born February 1, 1951 in Flora to Harold and Vera (Koontz) Hough. She had worked as a dietician at Clay County Hospital. Everyone who knew Judy knew she loved to play Bingo. She was kind and considerate and a loving mother, grandmother, and friend.
Judy is survived by her companion for over 35 years, James Arbuckle of Flora; son: Jamie (Maria) Farmer of Xenia; mother: Vera Dickey of Flora; sister: Nancy (Ron) McGee of Flora; 8 grandchildren: Cody Taylor, Chelsea Farmer, Mackenzie Shrum, Destiny Farmer, Paige Farmer, Kaeli Perez-Horn, Lexi Farmer, Jaysen Farmer; and 1 great-grandchild: Ariel. She was preceded in death by her father: Harold Hough; stepfather: Galen Dickey; and son: Jason Farmer.
A graveside service for Judy Farmer will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2015, at Kneff Cemetery, Flora. There will be no visitation. Those wishing to attend Judy’s service are asked to meet at the cemetery. Funeral arrangements are in the care of Frank & Bright Funeral Home. Judy was my first cousin and a great childhood friend. I have wonderful memories of our times together at Grandma & Grandpa Koontz's home. Love and prayers to all the family who shared her life on a daily basis.

Nancy and Vera and Jim, I am so very sorry for your loss. Judy and I sure had a lot of good times when we worked together in Dietary at the hospital. She taught me a lot and showed me the ropes and made the job fun. I can't recall a time in the 45+ years that I've known her that I ever saw her without a smile. I loved her laugh! Your loss is great and I pray that your memories will bring you comfort. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Godspeed on your journey Judy.

Judy was always there for her friends and family. There wasn’t a day that went by that she didn’t give all that she had to the ones that she loved.
