Mildred Mae Frost, age 90, formerly of Xenia, Illinois, passed away early Tuesday morning, September 20, 2016, at the Life Care Center of Sullivan, Missouri.
Mildred was born November 15, 1925, in Flora, Illinois, the daughter of Frank and Gladys (Owens) Davis. She married Harry Eldon “Bus” Frost on November 9, 1946, in Flora. He preceded her in death on August 16, 2013. Mildred was a devoted mother and enjoyed crafting, camping, fishing and spending time with family.
She is survived by three daughters: Linda (Larry) Daulby of Steelville, MO, Barbara Burkitt of West Frankfort, and Karen (Jeff) Riggins of Bloomington, IN; 6 grandchildren: Kyle Daulby, Melissa Rico, Robert Burkitt, John Burkitt, Rebecca Hutton, and Will Riggins; 2 great-grandchildren: Isabel Rico and Evelyn Burkitt; 1 brother: Walter (Barbara) Davis of Decatur; along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 sister: Dorthea Ryker, and 3 brothers: Harold, Donald and Leonard Davis.
A funeral service for Mildred Frost will be 3 p.m. Friday, September 23, 2016, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home, Flora, with visitation from 1 p.m. until the hour of service on Friday. Lance Thackrey will officiate. Interment will be in the Floral Garden of Memories Cemetery in Flora. Memorial donations may be given to the charity of the donor’s choice and will be accepted at the funeral home.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Mildred Frost. She was my aunt, and she was the sweetest lady I ever knew in my life. I will miss her dearly. I will hold her memories in my heart.
