Helen, I'm so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Barb, So sorry for the loss of your aunt. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
It has been a God-given two-fold blessing giving and receiving joy for Dorothy and us over the past almost two years by having had the opportunity to share prayers, meals, and especially laughs from the "Joke of the Day", with Dorothy. Dorothy was truly a sincere lady straight from her heart always ready to give a compliment, a hug and asking for nothing more than a cookie and a "good, hot, black cup of coffee. Dorothy always teased Bob that she liked his red shirt and John Deere cap and we would tell her we would get her a John Deere cap, but God had other plans for Dorothy. Because of her faith and trust in Jesus Christ, Dorothy received her robe of white and her crown of life.
It was a pleasure serving Dorothy at Greenwood Health and Living Community. We loved doting on her. She had an insatiable appetite for cookies! Multiple times a day she would peek around the corner into my office and ask politely "Do you have cookie?" I was always happy to oblige! And she had the cutest laugh! We couldn't contain our laughter at times when she would get the giggles! Thank you for sharing Dorothy with us. I pray you may have comfort and peace during this difficult time.
So sorry for your loss. Dorothy was such a kind loving person. She will be missed by my family. She touched our lives in so many ways. Prayers for you all
