Private Funeral Services Will Be Held
Sharon Lee Leach (McHenry), age 70, passed away from natural causes on March 1st, 2017, at Flora Gardens Care Center in Flora.
Sharon is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law: Daniel and Margie Leach and Robert and Faith Leach all from Romeoville, Illinois; her daughter and son-in-law: Christiana and Mike Wize of Utica Michigan; a brother: William McHenry; and a sister: Karen Hollingsworth. Sharon was also the proud grandmother of Rebecca Wize and Jarrod Wize of Utica, Michigan; Robert Leach III and Brooke Leach of Romeoville; and Tiffany Rekart and Alyssa Becht of Romeoville. She is also survived by numerous friends and extended family throughout the country.
Sharon was an accountant by trade and worked for Van Epoch and Dr. Abarachi’s Medical Office both in Sterling Heights, Michigan as well as an employee of Target Stores in Romeoville, Illinois, in her later years. Sharon also donated many hours volunteering for the Lions Club of Utica, Michigan, to raise funds for the national charity. She was a single mother for most of her adult life and gave everything she had for her children and her grandchildren, whom she adored. She worked hard, loved to travel, and truly worshipped the sun, tanning at every opportunity in the summer months. She was an exceptional cook and her favorite holiday was Christmas. She always had a smile for you and was sincere in all she did. She will be deeply missed. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you instead give a small donation to your local Lions Club in her name.
Funeral services will be privately held. She will be buried at Orchard Hill Cemetery, Louisville, alongside her father Ray W. McHenry, her mother Dorothy McHenry and older brother Gerald McHenry, all of whom preceded her in death. May God’s light shine on her soul forever. Arrangements are in the care of Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora. To share a condolence or memory with the family, visit www.frankandbright.com.
