Jessie M. Stone, age 60, of Iola, Illinois, passed away early Sunday morning, July 9, 2017, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.

   Jessie was born January 26, 1957, in Markham, Illinois, the daughter of Jesse and Nettie (Hayes) Smith.  She married Robert Stone on April 25, 1975, in Markham, and together they shared 42 years of marriage.  In addition to caring for her family, Jessie worked at Chestnut Corner in Louisville.  She loved animals, especially dogs, and enjoyed putting jigsaw puzzles together and playing card games with family.

   Jessie is survived by her husband: Robert Stone of Iola; children: Hope Stone (fiancée Mark) of Flora, Robert Stone of Newton, and April Deck (fiancée Mike Sills) of Xenia; 7 grandchildren: Victoria, Kayla, Jessie, Mikayla, Gavin, Lillyan, and Natalya; 1 great-grandchild: Daytona; and 4 siblings: Theresa, Wanda, Lenny, and Tommy.  She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 sister: Carrie.

   A memorial service for Jessie Stone will be 11 a.m. Saturday, July 15, 2017, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora, with visitation from 9-11 a.m. on Saturday.  Interment will be in Iola Cemetery.
