Carolyn, I am so sorry for your loss. I have good memories of the times spent at your house and being around your Mom and Dad. They always treated me like a member of the family. Though I haven't been strolling on the sidewalks in downtown Flora to do any shopping for many years, I remember very well looking down and seeing the Mark Powless stamp on those sidewalks that he made. He was the BEST at what he did! You are in my thoughts and prayers. Hugs and love to you my dear friend. Godspeed on your journey Mark.
So many memories of spending time at your house when we were growing up. Prayers of comfort and peace for all of you.
My deepest sympathy at the loss of your father.
Prayers and comfort to all the family at this difficult time of loss...neighbor to Mark & Opal for 50 years plus.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time.
My Uncle Mark and I didn't always see eye-to-eye. But my mother, his sister Nova, loved him more than her own life. He was a caring and giving brother to her, never denying her anything, anytime she asked. My cousin, Bill Merrihew, said once, "If it weren't for Mark Powless, the kids of Xenia and Flora would have had no place to hang out. He built the youth center for us. Without him, many of us would have become juvenile delinquents." Shirley, Linda and Carolyn, Gene and my deepest sympathies for the hurt you have gone through with his prolonged illness, and now with your loss of his physical being. Our prayers are for your peace of mind and a filling of the place left empty in your hearts. Sharon and Gene Nova and Gene
