Sharon Lynn Heller-Pifer, age 57, of Flora, Illinois, passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2017, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.

   Sharon was born July 25, 1960, in Effingham at St. Anthony’s Hospital, the daughter of Donald Dwayne and Gracie June (Porter) Atteberry.  She was united in marriage to Kevin W. Pifer on December 17, 2014.  Sharon was a fun-loving, spirited woman, who loved flowers, dancing, the theater, Jesus, and her family.  She was stubborn, funny, and loved to laugh.  Sharon always welcomed her sons’ friends, treating them like her own.  She will be missed by many, but we are excited that her body has been made whole in Heaven.

   She is survived by her husband: Kevin Pifer of Flora; 3 sons: Allan and wife Miriam Atteberry of Opelika, AL, Andrew and wife Casey Heller of Olney, and Daniel Heller of Flora; the father of Sharon’s children and her friend: Michael Heller formerly of Olney; 4 grandchildren: Aleena, Mathan, and Mara Atteberry, and Phoebe Heller; her brother: Stephen Atteberry of Greenup; 3 nieces and 3 nephews; along with aunts and uncles.  She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother: Jesse Atteberry of San Bernardino, CA.

   A Celebration of Life for Sharon Heller-Pifer will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, September 8, 2017, at Xenia Community Church, with visitation from 6-7 p.m. at the church.  Memorial donations may be made to the family to assist with expenses.  Arrangements are in the care of Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora.
