Connie Jean Gerber, age 69, of Flora, Illinois, passed away on Friday, October 27, 2017, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon.
Connie was born August 7, 1948, the daughter of Lester and Thelma Gerber. She was a member of First Southern Baptist Church of Flora, and she loved God and her church very much. Connie worked as a housekeeper in area nursing homes, was an animal lover, and always had a brilliant, happy smile.
She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law: Judy and Rusty Stowers of Tipton, IN; and special friends: Brenda and Danny Bradham of Flora. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother: Danny Gerber; and a sister: Phoebe Gerber.
Connie leaves a vacancy in our hearts no one else can fill. A memorial service will be held at a later date in spring.

Always like to see her walking a dog behind our office. In a world of noise and loudness, she was a Very quiet person, a welcomed changed. Sorry for the family's loss.
