George Arthur Wright, age 71, of Clay City, Illinois, passed away Sunday morning, January 28, 2018, at SSM Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon, Illinois.
George was born April 8, 1946, in Olney, the son of George Allen Wright and Alice (Fox) Wright. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
George is survived by his wife: Vicki Taishoff Wright of Clay City; a daughter: Rhonda (Brian) Walsh of Florida; a son: George Anthony Wright of Georgia; his aunt: Florence Dunlap of Clay City; a brother: David Wright of Maryland; half-siblings: Mary Sterner and John Wright; and 4 grandchildren: Jake, Jessica, Dylan, and Katie. He was preceded in death by his parents, and 2 brothers: LeRoy Wright and Jerry Don Wright.
Interment will take place at Wright Cemetery in Wayne County. Arrangements by Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora.

Vicki, I was so sorry to hear of George's passing. I really enjoyed the time I got to know him over the years and he will always hold a special place in my memories. May God watch over you and bring you comfort during this difficult time.
