I was in charge of county blood drives for many years and I could always count on Elmer. Men from the Masonic Lodge were always on hand to unload and reload the Red Cross truck. I can't remember a time when Elmer wasn't part of that group. He was a dedicated blood donor and I always enjoyed his friendship. Prayers of comfort for his family.

Elmer was one of the nicest and friendliest men I knew. When I coached Randy in baseball, he attended each game and was always ready to help, just like he was at work in the lumber company. I really believe he never met a man he didn't like and want to help.....
