Patricia Ann Ellies, age 67, of Flora, Illinois, passed away Thursday morning, February 15, 2018, at her home.
She was born October 1, 1950, in Danville, the daughter of James and Lucile (Landis) Downs. She was married to Robert Wayne Vice who preceded her in death. Pat worked as a CNA in nursing homes and home care. She loved arts and crafts and enjoyed making handmade items, that she would display at the Honey Bee Festival and Log Cabin Days, and often made candy for family and friends. Pat was a loving mother and grandmother, and attended Strong Tower Church in Flora.
She is survived by 2 sons: Robert Vice (Lori) of San Antonio, TX, and William Scott Vice (Erica) of Georgetown; 8 grandchildren: Stephen Lane, William Cahill, Oma Cahill, Sierra (Sheldon) Truelove, Brody Vice, Cullen Vice, Addison, and Emberlynn Vice; 3 great-grandchildren; brother: James Downs of Ridge Farm; sister: Sandy Phillips of Ridge Farm; maternal aunt: Ella Mae of Paris; sister-in-law: Marcy Bowling of Covington, IN; along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a brother: William “Bill” Downs.
There will be no services at this time. Arrangements are in the care of Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora. The family has requested no flowers or gifts, but memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Pat was a wonderful lady. She treated all her patiences as family. She made a big difference in the life of everyone that knew her. Pat will be missed by many. My condolence to her family.
So sad to hear this. Worked many hours with her and she was always good with residents. I will miss her but glad she is not suffering.prayers for the family.

Pat was a one of a kind. I always enjoyed working with her. She was funny and very compassionate. She always treated us like family. So sorry Scott. Prayers are with you. No more suffering and home with the Lord. Shorty sorry too. You will be in my prayers also. Hugs ❤ The Lord will comfort you in this time just turn to Him.
What a wonderful lady! She DID treat all her patients as family. She was a God send to our family. She will be missed by all the people whose lives she touched. May God give comfort to your family as you gave comfort to ours.
So sorry for your loss. I visited with her several times over the time she cared for Betty Wathan. I found her to be a kind, loving person who felt that her patients were also family.

Pat & I worked together in the kitchen at McEndree School. She was such a nice lady. She always had a smile & a kind word. When I was going through cancer, she was always happy for any progress I made. We encouraged each other. I prayed many prayers for her. She was a great friend
