Jimmy F. Lemons Lamonds, age 75, of Flora, Illinois, passed away Friday evening, March 2, 2018, at Flora Gardens Care Center.

     He was born January 16, 1943, in LaMard Township, Wayne County, Illinois, the son of Lowell Woodrow and Nellie Maumie (Webb) Lemons.  He was united in marriage to Marie Hemphill on February 9, 1989, in Frankfort, Kentucky.

     Jimmy worked in the oil fields and later retired from the World Color Press mailing center in Flora.  He was a past member of the Flora Eagles, and always enjoyed seeing and visiting with his friends.  He was of the Baptist faith, and he kept love and concern for his family within his heart.

     Jimmy is survived by his wife: Marie Lamonds of Flora; a son: Jamie Lemons of Corbin, Kentucky; a daughter: Tammy Lemons (Ron Eversole) of Corbin, Kentucky; 3 brothers: Jerry Lemons (Geraldine) and Steve Lemons (Joyce) both of Corbin, Kentucky, and Wayne Lemons (Kathy) of Chicago; 3 stepchildren: Michelle Hawkins of Flora, Kim VanDyke (Kevin) of Louisville, and Scott Daugherty (Susan) of Salem; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 10 stepgrandchildren; 10 step-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and also a special friend of the family: Jeff Griffith of Flora.  He was preceded in death by his parents; and 2 sisters: Shirley Lemons Nolan and Barbara Lemons Raines.

     A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, March 9, 2018, at Elmwood Cemetery in Flora, where interment will follow.  The family requests that in lieu of flowers or gift items, memorials be given to a love fund to assist with expenses, and these will be accepted by Frank & Bright Funeral Home, who is assisting the family with arrangements.  To share a condolence or memory with the family, visit www.frankandbright.com.
