Christine A. “Chrissy” Duecker, age 39, of Flora, IL passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at her mother’s home in Clay City after an extended and courageous battle with breast cancer.

Christine was born May 28, 1974 in Flora to Richard Dean Worthey and Janice (Beck) Worthey. She married Jason Duecker on January 10, 1998 in Flora. Christine believed in God and was a loving wife and mother who cherished her family and lived life to the fullest. She enjoyed spending time at the lake and was looking forward to her next Harley ride.

She is survived by her husband: Jason Duecker of Flora; mother: Janice Holcomb of Clay City; children: Seth Duecker of Flora and Tyler Holcomb of Clay City; sister: Angie (Brad) Johnson of Kinmundy; 3 nephews: Justin, Cole, and Shawn Armstrong; a special friend: Harley Bates; along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, paternal grandparents (Evelyn and Don Worthey), and maternal grandparents (Clarence and Pat Beck).

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Donations may be made to the family to assist with expenses and may be left at Beck’s Auto Sales. The Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora assisted the family with arrangements.
