Nancy E. Johnson, age 74, formerly of Clay County, passed away Thursday, May 31, 2018, at Heartland Manor Nursing Center in Casey.

Nancy was born on January 27, 1944, in La Jolla, California, the daughter of Bill and Pat (Box) Roberts. She married Mark Eugene Johnson on October 28, 1993, in Louisville. Mark preceded her in death July 11, 2006.

Nancy was a homemaker and a longtime Elvis Presley fan. She always looked forward to visiting Gatlinburg, Tennessee, and her family was truly the most important thing in her life.

She is survived by her children: Cindy (Gary) Yates of Longview, Texas, Matt Huffman of Clay City, Bart Beatty of Clay City, and Ashley (Harold) Peterson of Casey; 7 grandchildren: Dakota, Jada, and Brenna Peterson, Logan and Steven Huffman, Rebecca Yates, and David Michael Beatty Moore; 5 great-grandchildren; a brother: Billy Roberts of California; 2 sisters: Carol Tenbarge of Florida, and also Patsy Ann; and brother and sisters-in-law: Mike Johnson, Mary (Norman) Brown, and Michelle Johnson, all of Flora. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother: Jim Roberts.

A funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday, June 4, 2018, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 noon until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the National Stroke Association and will be accepted through the funeral home.
