Jimmie was born July 1, 1973, in Tuscola, the son of Jimmie D. Vaughn Sr. and Imogene (Moore) Vaughn. He was married to Wendy Binion on May 8, 2010, at North Harter Christian Church. Jimmie was an over the road truck driver and enjoyed just about anything that involved hot rods and motorcycles. Vaughn Sr. (Lora) of Sumner; parents-in-law: Glenda (Gary) Jones of Louisville and Dexter (Joan) Binion of Franklin, OH; three sons: Codi Vaughn (April Kasinger) of Bridgeport, Bryce Vaughn of Olney, and Seager Broome of Flora; one daughter: Ivy Vaughn of Flora; two granddaughters: Kinley and Avri; grandmother: Ann Vaughn of Olney; siblings: Eddie Vaughn (Tisha) of Olney, Paul Vaughn (Kerry) of Taylorville, Latosha Burke (Marty) of Sumner, and David Vaughn of Bone Gap; along with several nieces, nephews, aunts, extended family and good friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother; granddaughter: Nova Lee Vaughn; grandfather: Jim Vaughn; grandmother: Mary Hubert; and a brother: Vernon Vaughn.
A Celebration of Jimmie’s Life will be 6 p.m. Sunday, April 8, 2018, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home, Flora, with Joe Smith officiating. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. on Sunday. Memorial donations may be given to a fund for family expenses, and these will be accepted through the funeral home.
We were neighbors growing up. My heart goes out to his entire family.
May the Lord be with your family through this trying time
Jimmie you will always be a part my life! Till we meet again my friend!!
I first me Jimmie at church where my grandparents and his grandparents attended, when I was just a little girl. He used to give me piggy back and shoulder rides all the time. I was shocked when I found out about his passing. Prayers for the entire family as they say their final goodbyes and learn to move on without him here. May God give you all comfort as you heal. Rest easy my old friend.
I am so sorry Wayn my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family
I am so sorry for your loss. Jimmie had a heart of gold and I always cherished our friendship. I hadn't seen him for several years and then I ran into him the first of this year and it was the Jimmie I remembered. He commented on how he was a grandpa and I told him we weren't old enough, he laughed, but I could see the pride in his eyes!! This man will forever be in my heart! Love and prayers to all of you.
My heart hurts, I lost a brother. When I think of you, Eddie, and Paul I think brother not cousin. You boys were all I had growing up. All 3 of you always protected me, and watched out for me. I remember when I was living in Florida, I felt so alone until you got there. I have a million memories that I will cherish forever. I love you, and I will see you again.

Wendy: although I’ve only met you a few times, I’ve known Jimmie since 1993. We were all part of a great bunch of hot rodders, motor heads or whatever u wanted to call us. Jimmie was one of the best of the bunch. Always a real sweetheart. Just seeing him with you the few times I had recently, I could tell he loved you a lot. He always looked happy. So. For that I’m so glad you were part of his life. I’ve been praying for you and your family , Ivy’s injuries and her mental health, since I heard of this tragedy. All of your difficulties your going through has been prayed for also through my church. God be with you. He’s with Jimmie already. Saying I’m sorry for your loss just doesn’t seem adequate. But.
