Clarence Arthur Pauly Jr., age 60, of Mt. Vernon, Illinois, passed away Friday, September 21, 2018, at Evelyn’s House – BJC Hospice in St. Louis, Missouri.
He was born March 2, 1958, in Chicago, the son of Clarence A. and Thelma J. (Gulley) Pauly. He was united in marriage to Terri Molton.
Clarence worked at Continental Tire and also did mechanic work. He enjoyed tinkering on all kinds of vehicles and loved to cook and fish. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving during the post-Vietnam era.
He is survived by his wife: Terri Pauly of Mt. Vernon; 3 children: Georgia Pauly of Clay City, Heather Norton of Bulls Gap, TN, and Clarence Scott Pauly of Benton; 2 sisters: Debra Schoenherr of Mt. Vernon and Sally Cruz of Chicago; and 6 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
There will be no services. Arrangements are in the care of Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora.
May God shower all of us with the blessings of healing. The passing of My Brother, he was the most genuine person I know. He showed his love always to our Sister in law Terri, his 3 children & grandchildren, his 2 sisters, and 2 Brother in laws. His Uncles, and Cousins, Nieces, and Nephews, and great Nephews. This Man was a Navy Vet. Educated in psychology. He was the Son of Robert, and Thelma Wantroba, ( biological ) Son of Clarence A Pauly Sr. I submit this condolence, on behalf of his Family, to his Family, and extended Family, his Friends, We will always miss you, my Brother, we will always have you in our hearts forever!!! This was my Brother, an amazing person with a huge Heart!!! I sure do miss your voice, the only person who called me (Baby Girl). You put all you could in all you did. Rest in peace, see you later Angel Butch!!! 💞
You were my protector as we grew up thank you big brother. As adults we were cheated by time. I will always hold you tucked away in my heart no one can take our memories away. Im glad we had a summer to talk sorry i couldnt help keep you here longer with us on earth big terry thought of you as a brother loved talking about grilling with you. Our sailor lil terry and tacoma as many of us were cheated by time. Thank you for your navy service too. Rest in peace Butch hugs always my big and only brother. Your loving big little ( sis ) and family.
