Doris Jean Enlow, age 82, of Flora, IL passed away at 5:40 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at Flora Gardens Care Center in Flora.

Jean was born September 11, 1930 in Mt. Vernon, IL, the daughter of Oscar and Nanie May (Crowder) Ward. She married Richard Enlow on April 10, 1949 in Mt. Vernon. He preceded her in death on March 25, 1990. Jean was a long time manager of Huck’s and a member of First Church of God in Flora.

She is survived by 4 sons: Randy (Ruth Ann) Enlow of Clay City, Richard (Cindy) Enlow of Flora, Jeff (Marcia) Enlow of Olney, and Eric Enlow of Flora; a sister: Louise (Gordon) Nowland of Sesser; a sister-in-law: Louise (wife of the late Gene) Enlow of Murphy, SC; along with 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters (Mary Jane O’Daniel and Myrtle Ward Ross), brothers (Charles and Fred Ward), and 2 grandchildren (Tonya Michelle Enlow and Jacob Enlow).

The funeral service for Jean Enlow will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 25, 2013 at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora with Pastor Richard Artis officiating. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Flora. Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. on Saturday at Frank & Bright Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be given to Clay County Hospice and will be accepted at the funeral home.
