Gloria J. Brown, age 76, of Flora, Illinois, passed away at 7:04 a.m. Monday, December 31, 2018, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.

     Gloria was born on August 29, 1942 in Bluford, the daughter of Roscoe M. Hutchcraft and Evelyn L. (Lane) Hutchcraft.

     Gloria graduated from Rend Lake College and was a registered nurse. She worked as an operating room technician for many years and later served on the hospital security staff. She also worked with mentally challenged children throughout the years. She retired in 2007. Gloria was a previous member of the VFW, AMVETS and the American Legion. In her earlier years she loved playing softball and she always enjoyed playing darts, bowling and going fishing. Her family was her greatest treasure and she loved spending her time playing with the grandchildren and great grandchildren.

     Gloria is survived her daughters: Tina Brown of Flora and Nikita Jenkins of Flora; grandchildren: Tad (Whitley) Brown, Tyson Kiselewski, Travis Kiselewski, Tanisha Kiselewski (fiancé Jimmy Lee Thomas), Hunter Jarrell, and Daniel Jenkins; twelve great-grandchildren; sister: Myra Jane Loss of Odin; brothers: Arthur C. (Sally) Ellis Jr. of Creve Coeur, MO, Darrell Ellis of Delavan, and Harold Ellis of Phoenix, AZ.

     She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather: Arthur C. Ellis Sr.; stepmother: Katherine Hutchcraft; a granddaughter: Tara D. Jenkins; 2 sisters: Mary Donoho and Patricia Scott; and 3 brothers: Robert Hutchcraft, Jim Ellis, and Gilbert Ellis.

   A Celebration of Gloria's Life will take place at 4:30 p.m. Friday, January 11, 2019, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora.   Memorial donations may be made to assist the family with expenses, and will be accepted by the funeral home.
